1961
Foundation of Ruf Design AG
Together with his daughter Monika, Josef Ruf founds Ruf Design AG. The vision: functional, aesthetic and personalised design from a single source for kitchens, bathrooms and interiors.
1991
2000s
Establishment in the region
Ruf Design AG becomes an established name in the St. Gallen area. Private clients, architects and property developers rely on the combination of experience, style and precision craftsmanship.
Second generation design
Monika Ruf manages the company with vision and personal commitment. Supported by an experienced team, Ruf Design remains true to its claim: design with quality, clarity and substance.
2006
2016
Move to Lake Constance
In 2017, Ruf Design relocated from St. Gallen to Horn on Lake Constance. The move brought the company closer to the water and into an inspiring environment that has characterised everyday life and work ever since.
New generation, new perspective
Severin Hummer is the third generation to take on responsibility. As the son of Monika Ruf, he combines family tradition with fresh ideas and leads Ruf Design into a future-orientated development.
