A kitchen was created in Zurich that combines a traditional look with modern functionality. Ruf Design planned and implemented a country-style solution that is characterised by careful details, warm colours and a calm surface effect. The atmosphere is created by the balance between classic design and precise execution, which blends in naturally with the existing building.

White ceramic in marble look
The worktops are made of a light-coloured ceramic with a fine marbling. The material looks light and elegant, while at the same time being robust and easy to clean. In combination with the classically framed fronts and the deep blue colour of the walls, the kitchen has a special depth. The back walls are finished in the same ceramic, creating a calm overall impression that visually expands the room.
A room with character
The floor with its graphic pattern forms a lively contrast to the calm front surfaces. The blue wall surfaces emphasise the architecture of the room and create a warm, personal atmosphere. Open shelves, classic handles and glass cabinets combine to create an image that is deliberately reminiscent of traditional kitchen architecture, but reinterpreted in a modern design language.

The kitchen offers numerous functional elements that make everyday life easier. A hidden appliance compartment keeps everything organised and allows quick access to kitchen appliances. The island creates additional work surface and storage space, complemented by baskets and inserts that add a light, natural touch to the country house style.
