Green on the move, Switzerland
A sculptural island made of solid lava stone forms the centre of this restrained interior. The focus is on the materiality - calm, powerful and uncompromisingly clear.
Material image and precision, exhibition kitchen from Ruf Design AG
A kitchen that interprets rather than demonstrates. The new exhibition by Ruf Design AG in Horn shows how form, colour and function can create a quiet expression.
Lava in Oregon
The cover was made from Volvic Lava and enamelled in the colour Oregon. The rich glaze makes the craquelure shine and gives the stone an unusual depth. The bowl is fitted from below. The hob was installed from below with Invisacook so that the lava remains visible and can unfold its presence undisturbed.
Black stained maritime pine
The base units are made of maritime pine, stained deep black, the grain remains visible. The calm appearance of the wood supports the round shape of the island and brings warmth to the ensemble. The combination of colour, surface and volume creates tension and calm at the same time.
Mirror, light and function
The tall units are made of brushed chrome steel and form the calm technical back wall. A system from The Wall stretches along the sink and above the base units. A mirrored surface with integrated power rails. Shelves, lights and accessories can be freely positioned. A system that creates order and at the same time brings light and depth into the room.
